In a world where technology and human potential intersect, a remarkable presence emerged from the vibrant streets of Paris and which has set waves beyond the Olympic arena — the sporting experience of the athletes and the spectators.

The Paris 2024 Olympics utilized the leveraging benefits of AI tools across different aspects of the event.

AI tools were utilized across different disciplines —

  • Cybersecurity and Social Media Monitoring
  • Athlete Training and Talent Identification
  • Broadcasting Enhancements
  • Spectator Engagement
  • Timekeeping and Performance Monitoring
  • Security and Surveillance

How can healthcare echo on this success?

These intelligent systems, born from the same innovations that powered the games at Paris 2024, can serve as demonstrable evidence and cross benefit to revolutionize medical care.

These systems has a huge potential to blend the realms of sports and healthcare, and its music can generate echoes in healthcare systems and patient experience.

The infographic below, from The Product Folks NITT in one of their LinkedIn Posts, served as a background to think from a healthcare perspective.

If Sports can, then why not Healthcare!

The success of AI in Olympics 2024 serves as a powerful testament to its potential in healthcare. By adopting these technologies, healthcare can achieve greater efficiency, accuracy, and personalization, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes and a more sustainable system.

Here are some connections that I tried to establish between the intelligent tools that were used in Paris 2024 and healthcare. This is only a starting point, and the potential is immensely huge.

Finally

The innovations that have transformed athletic performance and engagement are now poised to enhance patient care and operational efficiency in healthcare.

Yet, we must first address the elephant in the room:

“Who will champion this wave of innovation and ensure that decision-makers are listening?” And more importantly, “What role will you play in this transformation?”
